The error has_blob returns against a daemon whose gRPC service has no
HasBlob RPC (Unimplemented).
There is deliberately no fallback to GetBlob. It would answer
correctly while silently reinstating the per-blob download this check
exists to remove (ADR 0028, gonzalo#329), so a mixed-version deployment
would keep paying the cost with nothing to show why.
HTTP needs no such message: axum serves HEAD from a route’s GET
handler, so an older daemon answers HEAD /v1/blobs/{hash} correctly
anyway — it just reads the blob to do it. Only gRPC can see the gap.
